Third Thursdays at the MAG - first of the season!
 

On October 17, Eastman's new professor of harpsichord Lisa Crawford will be joined by leading experts in Baroque dance for a program that promised to be an aural and visual spectacle!  Stephen Kennedy plays the fabulous Italian organ.  Come early to get seats!

           Masterclass with M. Bouvard on Saturday morning at Sacred Heart Cathedral.
Friday, May 1 at 7:30 - Chelsea Chen plays at The United Church, Canandaigua.
           Banquet celebrating the 10th anniversary of RCORS preceding the concert.
           Masterclass with Ms. Chen on Saturday morning in Rochester.

 


November Events
 

Friday, Nov. 1 - Utecht Hymnody Symposium
 

Hosted by the Eastman organ department, this one-day festival is offered in alternating years with EROI, and is organized for the purpose of sponsoring and creating new hymns. This year's festival with feature lectures by Carl Daw, Robin Leaver, and Crista Miller, followed by an Evensong for All Saints at Christ Church, led by the Eastman organ faculty and featuring the first singing of a commissioned hymn text by Carl Daw.  The evening will end with a banquet at Max (across from Eastman) and a closing address given by Crista Miller.

Friday, Nov. 15 - Wendy Yuen, our 2019 scholarship recipient, reports on the European conferences she attended with our help.  7:00 at St. Mary’s (Washington Square).  Light refreshments after.  Margaret-Mary Owens, host.
 


Tuesday, Nov. 19 - Pipe Dreams, the Movie! 

 

6:00 at Regal Cinemas, Henrietta.
A documentary about the Calgary organ competition, featuring Eastman student Thomas Gaynor (and, we are told, a cameo by David Higgs!). Not to be missed.  More info on the Facebook page:

Every Tuesday at 12:10 hear great organ music played by fine organists.

Sundays at the MAG
 

Short concerts are performed on the authentic Italian Baroque organ at the Memorial Art Gallery every Sunday at 1:00 and 3:00.  Free with admission (and to MAG members!)
